The new Rémy Cointreau seat by Parella
of the terroirs
For nearly 300 years,
the Rémy Cointreau Group, whose origins in the Charente region
origins date back to 1724, continues to develop a portfolio of unique, high-end brands.
The group cultivates a three hundred year old know-how and family traditions embodied in its values Scroll down
"of the terroirs, the people and the time."
Its ambition: to become the world leader in exceptional spirits.
"Our culture of excellence can only be honored by applying the highest ethical standards to our products.
a new impetus
To support this strategy of conquest and international development, the group has also undertaken a
transformation of its work environment and has decided to offer its employees a different way of working.
its employees to work differently.
The search for and creation of a new headquarters and the adoption of new ways of working
quickly became a necessity.
Real estate strategy and the search for a new location
A six-month phase, sequenced in three stages: interviews, an online survey and then the search for a new address.
Autumn 2020, in a period marked by the end of the 1st confinement and the development
of telecommuting, the Rémy Cointreau Group began a broad reflection on its real estate strategy and chose Parella following a call for tenders.
From the outset, the Rémy Cointreau and Parella teams opted for a participative
collaboration in order to define the need, to draw up the specifications for the project and to determine the group's real estate strategy.
For two months, Parella consultants launched a campaign of interviews at two levels
(Comex, Pool of business and support ambassadors) and conducted an online survey
with all the employees.
After 18 years of presence on Bd Haussmann, there was a rapid and aligned desire to move,
to find a new home that would embody the group's values.
The headquarters had to be adapted to the deployment of new working methods and have an outdoor space
... all in the heart of the Parisian Central Business District.
The search for a property that met the project specifications took four months.
Parella also assisted Rémy Cointreau with the aspects relating to the lease.
+ 6 months of work
6 months of co-design
The co-design of the workspaces required six months of exchanges and began with an immersion phase within the Rémy Cointreau Group's houses. Initiatory visits to the cellars and wineries in Cognac and Angers allowed Parella to fully immerse itself in the culture and identity of the group.
These visits also allowed the research and collection of emblematic objects of the group's heritage. In addition, the new identity of the Rémy Cointreau Group's headquarters was enhanced with the active contribution of the
Rémy Cointreau Foundation. As if in a gallery, a selection of works of art created by craftsmen represented and promoted by the Foundation has been displayed on the three floors of the rue Balzac.
"Everyone agrees that this is a place that fits us and feels like home."
The support was totally collaborative and participative.
Between April and June 2021, an in-depth analysis of the organization and uses of all the company's teams was conducted, before being translated into spaces. First, in a macro way to situate the territories in space, then in a more micro way to define the layouts. Thus, each floor is unique and corresponds to the uses and organization
of each of the teams located on them.
At the same time, from April 2021 until March 2022, a communication plan for employees has been defined and deployed to enable them to follow the progress of the project. A monthly meeting with the entire workforce (progress report and answers to questions) has enabled employees to take the pulse of the project and ask any questions they may have. In order to complete this transparent and participative system,
Parella and Rémy Cointreau decided to create a sample space illustrating a typical workstation with storage and furniture, furniture which the employees were involved in choosing.
A training session on the discovery of the new premises and their uses was initiated with the employees two weeks before the fitting out.
In order to welcome them properly, a welcome day was scheduled during which a booklet specifically co-created with Parella was given.
A survey in the form of feedback was deployed a few weeks after the installation. This feedback from employees allowed us to fine-tune the facilities.
A second survey will be launched in March 2023.
A collaborative approach, involving project communication
"We wanted this to be a collaborative and very unifying project with our employees so that they could give their point of view and express themselves on the new ways of working."
